BARNEGAT — The son of the mayor of an Ocean County town has been charged in a string of graffiti incidents in the area.

Kyle Conway, 18, of Barnegat wascharged last week with eight counts of criminal mischief. His mother is Barnegat mayor Susan McCabe, according to The Sandpaper, a local news website.

Another man, Johnnie Johnson, 19, was charged with six counts of criminal mischief.

The two were identified after they allegedly put a two-minute video on social media in which they boasted about about their activities. Though the men's faces are partially hidden, the public was able to figure out who they are, the report said.

They allegedly tagged a box truck owned by a local business, several buildings, and a billboard along Route 9.

Both were released without bail.
